When does the £150 EICR price apply?
£150 is for a typical 3-bed complete certificate of the whole installation across Birmingham and our West Midlands ring. Larger, HMO, commercial or multi-board properties go over £150 — we quote that plainly before booking. Same-day report where the visit finishes on the day.
Are remedials included in the EICR certificate price?
No. The £150 covers inspection, testing and the report. Remedial work is separate. Common items have open typical prices on this page (socket £30, light £30, fan £40, bathroom electrical privacy-style fix £60, typical domestic fuse box £600). Larger or unusual defects are quoted from findings.
Is the fuse board / consumer unit always £600?
£600 is a typical domestic board change. Larger, complex, three-phase or awkward installs are surveyed and quoted — we will not invent a figure on the phone for those.
Can small items be done on the same visit as the EICR?
Yes — a few sockets or lights, a blanking plate, or similar tiny fixes can often be sorted while we are there. We confirm the typical price before we start. Bigger remedial lists may need a return visit.
What about bonding, fire points or emergency light fittings?
Those stay quote-only. We check them where relevant on the EICR, then price labour and materials from what we find — no fixed £ on this list.
Do you publish EV and solar prices too?
EV labour is typically £350–£400 standard or £500–£600 for a long run; kit is separate. Solar package examples via Greenwatt MCS are about £7,000 (5 kW + 5 kWh) and £8,000 (5 kW + 10 kWh), subject to survey.
